Refund Processing Authorization Fee
(Refund PAF)
Refunding to small businesses the authorization fee cost up to $50,000 in total of the program.
Program overview
Applicants for the Refund PAF may be eligible to receive up to $50,000 in refund of the merchant authorization credit card processing fee cost from U.S Department of Bank Card at the end of term. This is a relief/support project, the applicant does not have to pay it back.
To receive a refund, you must first apply for a Refund PAF . Once you apply for the refund processing authorization fee, U.S Department of Bank Card will invite you via email to apply for one of the terms if your business is qualify.

Who may qualify
The following entities affected by inflation may be eligible:

Sole proprietors, independent contractors, and self-employed persons

Any small business concern that meets small business's size standards (either the industry size standard or the alternative size standard)

Any business, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, 501(c)(19) veterans organization, or tribal business concern (sec. 31(b)(2)(C) of the Small Business Act) with the greater of:

20 employees, or
-
That meets the SBA industry size standard if more than 20

Any business with a NAICS code that begins with 72 (Accommodations and Food Services) that has more than one physical location and employs less than 20 per location.

Is located in a low-income community.
